The city of Mesquite is gearing up for the 2013 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship, a 10-day golfing event determining the eight power golfers that will qualify for the finals in Las Vegas. The event will run from September 18 to 27 at the Mesquite Sports & Events Complex, reports prominent Mesquite, Nevada real estate firm RE/MAX Ridge Realty.
Organized by the Long Drivers of America (LDA) and sponsored by RE/MAX, the championship has been held annually since 1975. This year, the final event will be held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 30 and will air live on the Golf Channel.
